Dawson City has an intriguing history. The home of the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush, Dawson was a thriving Northern town of 30,000 people back then. Today Dawson still holds a special place in people's hearts. It is home to a year round population of some 1500 residents and swells with summertime travellers and an average of 60,000 people a year pass through the town.
